WHO IS THE MARRIAGE PREPARATION COURSE FOR?
The Marriage Preparation Course is designed for couples considering marriage and wishing to build a strong and lasting relationship. While based on Christian principles, it is relevant and helpful for any couple with or without a Christian faith or church background. The course begins with supper, followed by a talk and an opportunity for discussion. Privacy is respected, there is no group discussion or group work, and no requirement to disclose anything about your relationship, but couples can discuss issues with a married 'support couple' if they wish. The lead presenters, Nicky and Sila Lee, have been married for over thirty years and speak regularly on relationships and marriage preparation. They are co-authors of The Marriage Book.

WHAT DOES THE MARRIAGE PREPARATION COURSE COVER?
Topics covered include:
• Communication
• Resolving Conflict
• Commitment
• Keeping love alive
• Shared values

THE COUPLE SURVEY
We ask you to complete a questionnaire called the Couple Survey. The Couple Survey is completed online. The questionnaire will help you identify and recognise topics to discuss as a couple prior to marriage. Since training is required to interpret the results, we will not pass the results to you directly. Instead, you can meet with your support couple over dinner to discuss the survey and any topics that it helps you identify. We will email you details of the questionnaire and a link to the website around two weeks before the start of the course (if you register later than this, there will be a delay in receiving the survey). Your surveys and reports remain confidential, and the report will only be read by your Support Couple once you have arranged a time to have dinner with them.

TESTIMONIES
"Thank you so much for this life-altering course. You will never know how much you helped our relationship, and I now understand what it really means to make a marriage commitment.”
"It was a sanctuary of one night a week of no wedmin!"
"Discussing the Couple Survey with our Support Couple really helped us address some key differences in a neutral and constructive environment."
