Welcome to HTB.
We are a vibrant Anglican church in the heart of London, passionate about seeing lives changed in the name of Jesus.
Our vision is to play our part in the evangelisation of the nation, the revitalisation of the church and the transformation of society.
It is such a privilege to see lives and communities transformed in the name of Jesus through Alpha. Originally developed as a course at HTB in 1977, Alpha has since become a global ministry running in 169 countries.
What Alpha offers, and what is attracting thousands of people, is permission – rare in secular culture – to discuss the big questions of life and death and their meaning.

Since 1985, HTB has initiated more than twenty church plants, including St Paul’s Hammersmith, St Paul’s Shadwell and St Peter’s Brighton. Historically significant and beautiful Anglican churches – often facing closure – have been restored and are now home to vibrant, growing, worshipping communities having a significant impact on their local areas.
In 2017, the Church Revitalisation Trust (CRT) was established to help build on this momentum of church planting in strategic cities across the UK.
Focus is our annual church holiday. It's a chance for us to spend quality time together, experiencing impactful teaching, Big Top worship, a programme for all, friendships for life and transformational encounters with God.
If you enjoy making others feel welcome, coming alongside young people in their faith, or making little ones laugh, or you have a knack for taking photos, there are plenty of opportunities to be part of a team at Focus.
Held annually in the iconic Royal Albert Hall, the Leadership Conference is a two-day event with world class speakers and worship. As a church, we host thousands of people, including church leaders and Alpha teams, from around the world. It’s a privilege to see the global church unite, as we learn from one another and encounter God in life-changing ways.
