Working through grief and the loss of a loved one takes a long time. The course is for any person who is bereaved, whether recently or dating back several years. Based on Christian principles, the course is suitable for anyone with or without a Christian faith.
Topics covered include:
Attachment, separation and loss
Death in our culture
The pain of grief
Adjusting to change
The faith perspective
Each evening begins with supper, followed by short talks interspersed with opportunities for discussion in small groups (please be aware that it is likely there will be around twenty-five guests on the course, and that each guest is placed into a smaller group with about six to eight other guests).

Resources for Leaders
Working through grief takes a long time, and no two people have the same loss or the same journey. The Bereavement Journey is a six week course, providing community and support for people who have experienced bereavement. The filmed sessions are accompanied by Guest Notes, which provide a summary of themes as well as discussion prompts.
