J. R. R. Tolkien, in the poem; All that is gold does not glitter wrote 'Not all those who wander are lost'.
We are a restless generation, 70% of us make use of on-demand services! We are used to a world of instancy. Sometimes we just need to find space to ask questions, slow down, have fun, to wander and wonder.
The Youth Weekend Away provides space for us to thrive and 'stew' together. We find opportunities to discuss, laugh, honour, eat, play, learn, have fun, inspire, be inspired, share, hear, listen, debate and respect.
Together we will wrestle with the verse 'I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith'. How can we stand firm even as fiath sometimes gets shaken.
The youth weekend is packed with so many activities, times of worship, lots of fun games, plus deep and inspiring talks. The ticket price includes food, transport and accommodation for the weekend. (Reduced rate available for those making their own way there.)
We hope you'll join us. If there is anything we can do to help you attend please get in touch.
Grosvenor Hall is a complete indoor and outdoor education facility set in the grounds of a former manor house in Ashford, Kent within easy reach of London and international transport links.
The hall, originally called Bockhanger Hall, was built by James S. Burra, an Ashford banker. Burra was a keen collector of trees from around the world and some of his collection still stand in the impressive grounds of Grosvenor Hall. Before opening its doors as a Kingswood centre in 2010, the hall was most recently a police training centre with purpose built accommodation blocks and classrooms. These specialist facilities, including a mock courtroom have been transformed to cater for our comprehensive range of educational programmes.
It is this unique combination of historical buildings, modern purpose-built facilities and the state of the art activity park that make this centre a hidden gem within urban Ashford, and one of the best facilities of its kind in Europe. From the moment our visitors enter the gates, they are immersed in the high-adrenaline excitement of the centre as they pass the £1m adventure park. As they explore the centre our guests continue to discover everything Grosvenor Hall has to offer; including an indoor heated swimming pool and a 25,000 sq ft sports hall which caters for a wide range of indoor activities.
Grosvenor Hall is ideally situated for excursions to London and the UK’s top attractions and its central location combined with the diverse range of programmes available attract visitors from all over the world year after year.

You really don't have to do any activity you don't want to - no one will force you to climb high if you don't particulary like heights. We will not make you go raft building if you really can't swim. We just want every one to have the most fun ever!
